Family makers explore the wild and wooded grounds, foraging for stick looms and natural materials for their weaves. They use colourful wools and plants, interwoven with recycled fabric strips and ribbons, which they can print onto with the petals and leaves they collect, to create a beautiful weave to decorate their home.
Artist Gemma Gottelier will show the group how a magical ’ojo de dios’, traditional Latin weave, is made – for those who want to make this symbolic weave to protect their home and family.
Surrounded by their wonderful weaves, weavers listen to a nature-inspired story read by Gemma.
