Come and experience a fun and informal pottery workshop, suitable for all ages and abilities. Sara will begin with an introductory talk and an outline of the process, followed with a step by step lesson to make pinch pot birds.
Participants will be using found items (perhaps from the woodland floor) making patterns on a clay surface, making a coaster or just having some clay to play with and get familiar with handling clay, before being given some clay to make your birds.
You will be able to learn the basic skills of pinch pot, slip making, connecting surfaces, hand building and surface texture. Once you have created your pinch pot bird, you will be able to choose from a variety of glazes which will be taken away, fired, glazed and then sent to you inthe post.
One child per paying adult more than welcome to join in (there will be a £10 charge per child to cover the cost of glazing and postage). Under 5’s free of charge.
Cost: £45pp (age 14+) / £10 per accompanying child (under 14)
