Polly Bennett is an environmental artist and pigment maker. Her love for the environment ignited her passion for natural pigments, and in 2020 she founded her company POLBEN’s Pigment.
Through POLBEN’s Pigment, Polly sells natural artist materials, including pigments, sourced and processed by herself, along with inks and watercolour paints. The materials used to make the pigments and inks include earth, plants, bone and metal. Her stall at Wealden Literary Festival will be selling her standard line, along with her Wealden Literary Festival Limited Edition pigments and inks, made from material collected at Boldshaves.
Polly will be holding a pigment-making workshop at the festival to share the knowledge of purifying earth into pigment to make into paint.
