We are thrilled to be pairing up with Canterbury Christ Church University for a one-off event this November featuring the celebrated poet, Kathleen Jamie – Writing Comes Alive
Kathleen Jamie is one of our finest poets and writers of non-fiction whose varied works engage a vast array of ideas and themes including the natural world, history, art and place to comment on how we inhabit the world. Her books include Sightlines, Findings, The Bonniest Companie and The Overhaul, which won the Costa Award for Poetry. She is Professor of Poetry at Stirling University, and has written for The Guardian, London Review of Books and BBC Radio 4.
The main talk takes place from 18.00 to 19.30 on Friday 25 November at the Sidney Cooper Gallery in Canterbury. This event is free but it will be ticketed and booking is essential.
Kathleen will also be running a special ‘Poetry Masterclass’ on the main University campus in advance of her reading between 15:00 and 16:30.
For tickets and further information, please visit the University’s website:
We hope to see you there.
