“Summer on the high plateau can be as delectable as honey; it can also be a roaring scourge. To those who love the place, both are good, since both are part of its essential nature. And it is to know its essential nature that I am seeking here.” Nan Shepherd, The Living Mountain
Calling all writers and photographers…
Like the effect the Cairngorms had on Nan Shepherd (incidentally, face of the next Scottish £5 note!), we’d love to know if there is a place that has a special hold on you. A particular field, stream or wood perhaps, a hill or cliff top you keep returning to. A place that enchants and beguiles.
If so, get pens and cameras at the ready and have a go at entering our writing and photography competitions for a chance to win prizes, fame and free tickets to this year’s festival!
You can find full details on all competitions (including our under 14s competition) on our website.
