Unless you are camping, the Festival site opens on Saturday at 9am and closes at 10pm. On Sunday, the doors will open at 9am and close after the final talk at around 7pm.

Talks & books
Each talk is scheduled to last for one hour, ordinarily allowing for approximately 15 minutes audience Q&A at the end although this varies depending on the speaker and the nature of the talk.
Book signings will take place immediately after each talk at the Festival’s pop-up bookshop, kindly hosted by Sevenoaks Bookshop.
There is free car parking on a field adjacent to the site. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main marquee. Please bear in mind that the field can get muddy in poor weather. Please wear suitable footwear.
Come prepared for the vagaries of a typical English summer’s day! Dogs unfortunately are not permitted, unless for assistance.
Food and drink will be available throughout the weekend. Please visit the Food & Drink page for further information about our suppliers.
There are many great places to picnic at the Festival. All that we ask is that you don’t leave any rubbish behind. Please use the mixed waste bins located around the Festival site to dispose of your rubbish.
There are designated disabled parking spaces. The marquees, café, bar and bookshop are accessible to wheelchair users though some surfaces may be slightly uneven.
There are toilets situated around the site which will be signposted on the day. Showering facilities are available for campers.
There will be no ATMs on site. Our stallholders will be able to take contactless payment.
Lost property will be handed to the Box Office. Please report any missing items there. Wealden Festival takes no responsibility for loss or damage to property incurred at the Festival.
You may see our official Festival photographer on site recording the Festival. If you would prefer not to feature in photos or video, please approach them and let them know.

Boldshaves, home of Wealden Literary Festival, is a secluded private estate with a beautiful garden surrounded by ancient woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the eastern edge of the Kent Weald.
The lovely landscaped garden, which contains an unusually large range of trees, shrubs and perennial plants, is open regularly throughout the year for charities, including the National Gardens Scheme, and for gardening clubs and guided tours.
The gardens are open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 2-6pm. Groups are welcome to visit for guided tours at other times by appointment. The Tea House will be open whenever the garden is open. The garden will open for the season this year on Saturday 5 March and will be closed from Monday 17 October.
